When searching for liquor online through a regular search engine, its easy to become confused. There are so many search results, it is hard to know which whisky retailers are reputable and if they are offering the best deals, without doing extensive research. It is for this reason that search and price comparison websites, such as Whisky Marketplace, are becoming a popular way to buy whisky, scotch, and other types of liquor online.

Whisky Marketplace does the research for you and allows users to compare prices among various trusted retailers within the UK. However, this website is not UK exclusive; most liquor retailers listed on the site ship internationally, as well! For users, the website is simple to use and allows users to set advanced search filters, such as Price, Age, ABV, Date, Liquor Type, Country of Origin, and more. For example, if a person is looking to purchase Irish or Japanese whisky, they can make sure that only the best deals for that type of whiskey are shown. Results are updated constantly, and thus are always relevant, which is invaluable to those who want to buy liquor online quickly and easily.

A catalogue of special offers and deals for the liquor buyer who wants a bargain is available through Whisky Marketplace. The percentage of discount and prices before and after each special offer deal are displayed, so that every user knows exactly how much they are saving before they buy one of many types of whisky, such as single malt scotch, or bourbon online.

Whisky Marketplace is not only a place to find liquor and compare prices, but a valuable resource of whisky knowledge as well.

The site has a series of video podcasts called WMTV, which consists of interviews, whisky reviews, and recipes for meals that complement the taste of each type of whisky. The most recent episode of WMTV includes recipes for a four course Burns Night supper, as well as a tasting of Glenmorangie Artein and Glengoyne 17 year old whiskies.

Senior Dating Site Reviews

I was an enthusiastic internet dater in my late forties and early fifties. I was attractive, a bit of a cougar and had no trouble attracting male attention.

But after dealing with my fair share of crazies, I decide it was not a good venue for me to meet a serious companion.

So now being over 55, I decide to give it a try again. I was hopeful, being of an older age, I would meet more sincere men who would have left their “game” behind in the pursuit of something more genuine.

After witnessing a couple of senior acquaintances meet this way, and marry, I was more than hopeful.

I wasn’t especially looking to marry, just meet someone nice to laugh and spend time with. After 15 solo years, I miss male companionship.

I chose a particular site dedicated to over age 50 members and set up a profile, trying to be as accurate as possible, but yet not long winded in my description, I clicked the submit button and hoped for the best.

To my dismay, the very first reply was “I’ve read your profile over and over and decided you are the one for me. I know a preacher and bought a ring. Contact me”

Oh brother here we go again!

My biggest fault is I’m no quitter. If I had been on the Titanic, by now you would have found me at the bottom of the ocean with a note saying, “It’s just a little water, I’ll be OK”.

Not being able to quit a project, in my case is not a good thing, it is a detriment.

So that being said, I’m not quitting just yet. And since I have committed to this project, I will reply as politely and non committal as possible and see what happens.

Interestingly enough this particular person has no profile, so I have no idea what or whom I’m dealing with (BIG RED FLAG). I’m definitely going to proceed with caution and try to draw out a few details. My instincts are throwing up red flags left and right. So here goes nothing.

Dear Alan, Thank you for your interest and your humor is appreciated. Do you have a profile so I may know a little about you? The site said it had been hidden.

Thank you

Surprise! No response.

From the research I have done, this is a popular way that a “fake personal”, will attempt to lure you off the site and respond to a yahoo address in order to woo you on line and trick you into doing something insane (like sending them your life savings). It is a scam as old as the internet but still works amazingly well.

For the next 30 days or so, I received no responses what so ever. Because I had opted for the “free” membership I assumed my profile was either not visible or hidden in some voluminous internet black hole.

From there I moved on to Senior Singles Meet.

On this particular site, your profile and information are visible to anyone and everyone that searches the site. I did receive a lot of responses ranging in ages 21 – 70. As I am over 55 I have to question the agenda of anyone that contacted me below this age.

In my naivety and in the interest of being polite, I would send a thank you but no thank you with a weak explanation to those I was not interested in. A handful took this as opportunity to open the door to communication. One even went so far as to delete his profile, put up an entirely different one based on my preferences and begin the process of communicating again. How do I know this? The second profile was enticing so I agreed to meet. It was very unnerving when I instantaneously realized it was the same person.

Thus viciously crushing my theory that at “our” age game playing was a thing of the past. Yeah, it was scary. I immediately deleted my profile and took several months off from internet dating.

For my next experience (told you I was no quitter), I chose E Harmony.

What I like best about this site, is not just anyone can peruse your profile. You fill out a lengthy profile and through some magical psychology software you are “matched”. So only those the software feels you are compatible with are referred to your profile and vice versa.

The thing I like least about this site is if you choose to use the “guided communication”, you are subjected to a tedious amount of “pop quizzes” or questionnaires traded back and forth. Also if you sign up for the free account, you aren’t able to respond directly to emails or see pictures of your potential matches, so if you are serious you have to join up sooner or later or else your communication is a bit stifled. I do receive several matches daily, so you will have some options as far as dating. A word of caution………the more strident you are with your preferences, the less matches you will receive…..so try to be a little compromising and open minded.

In my opinion, there are a lot of things to navigate through on E Harmony, so it’s not for the internet novice.

When you fill out your profile questions, if you don’t adjust the meter under the questions and just leave it in the middle, you will get a lot of “matches” that also left the meter in the middle. These are called “flex matches”. I’m assuming they are based on flexibility just because none of us bothered to adjust the meter from a lot to a little.

There are a lot of things to pay attention to on E Harmony, but then, that’s the point.

I have met a few nice gentlemen who appear to be sincere about finding a mate. Most want to travel and have nice plans for the future with a companion.

I have been told good things about Match.com from other members. I have not tried it as of yet. I may when my Harmony subscription runs out. I will let you know how it turns out.

Do I have advice? Sure, tons of it. But, we are all going to do it our own way. Some of us will be taken advantage of regardless. We will make mistakes. Hopefully they will be of small consequence.

We have to take the gamble as our parents always said, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained”. If we just sit home, we are only going to meet the water bottle delivery guy!

Be smart, be careful, pay attention to red flags and have fun!

If I can have just one wish, I wish you love.
